I got up around 11:30 and had breakfast and coffee, and then I tried changing the water in the turtle tank. And the syphon wouldn't work. There's a hand operated squeeze pump that is supposed to suck the water up into the tube so that gravity can make it flow, and it wasn't sucking the water up. I think the problem is that there's a flange in the barrel that goes in the water, and I think that flange is broken. Very frustrating, it was working perfectly yesterday.

So I got online and ordered a new one from Amazon, and paid extra (not much only $3) for same-day delivery.

Then I puttered around until about 3 when I took a shower and dressed, and took out some recycling (old paper bags from when Target used paper to deliver Shipt orders in) and walked around the block.

I finally got the nerve to do what I should have done awhile ago... I wrote Lynn. I had gotten a reply from Chris that he had written him, and he did want to see us, but that he would let me work out the logistics. So I wrote Lynn. He replied, and I think it looks like we're going up to Rochester next weekend but just for one day. I'll keep everyone posted.

Anyway, at a little after 5 I went into the Bronx for my Al-anon meeting. As usual I had pizza for dinner first.

The meeting was very good. Afterward L drove me to the bus.

I came home, and the new syphon had been delivered, so tomorrow I'll take some water out of the turtle tank and replace it.

Speaking of people named Lynn... I am still getting nasty Facebook messages from Lynn T, I don't know why I don't just block her.

Tomorrow I am the speaker at the meeting in Bowne Park, so I CAN NOT be late!!!

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. My meetings and the people there.

3. Chris and Lynn,

4. Sunflowers.

5. Beautiful weather.

6. Same-day-delivery.
