Packed for my weekend

silver_chipmunkGot up this morning around 11:30. Had breakfast and coffee. Then I packed for the trip to Rochester. Didn't take long, it is, of course. only a weekend. While I packed I did a little bit of cleaning up too.
My copy of Dreamsnake was delivered from Thriftbooks, so I have that to read after I finish the Peter Wimseys. Though I may download the newest Incryptid novel to my Nook and read that first. We'll see.
I showered and dressed, and took the AC box out and walked around the block. Then I emptied the three trash cans and took that out, and walked around the block again.
Then I puttered around until 5:15 when I left to go to the Bronx for my Al-anon meeting. The bus was very, very late, apparently there was some problem with the bridge traffic. Eventually it came, very crowded, but someone gave me a seat when she got off so I didn't have to stand the whole way.
By the time i got there, it was very close to the time for my meeting. I had to have my pizza for dinner, as it turned out I had just enough time to get there before we started,
After the meeting I got a ride to the bus with L. I was afraid that because of whatever caused the trouble getting there I might have trouble getting back, but the bus showed up right on time. Or actually, 2 minutes late, which is close enough.
Came home and Skyped the FWiB. Only for a half hour, he got up early and was tired.
Then it was pet feeding time. Speaking of pets, I have seen Oreo use the scratching pad now, so I am very hopeful that he'll take to it.
Tomorrow I am going to go to my meeting in Bowne Park but not to the diner. Chris is supposed to pick me up around 2, so I have to get back before then.
