Good news about my foot!

silver_chipmunkI got up around 11:30 today, and had breakfast and coffee. I puttered online util 12:30ish, and then showered and dressed.
At 1:20 I got an Uber and went to the podiatrist. He looked at the X-rays, didn't even bother examining the foot, and told me I was all healed and could stop using the cane, and didn't need to come back. So that's my good news. I took the bus home, carrying the cane rather than using it, and put it in the closet with the crutches when I got home.
I texted the Kid, and she replied, and notified several other people as well, Chris, and Lynn, andmashfanficchick.
I took out a bag of recycling and walked around the block without the cane! It feels so weird to not use it, but I am very glad.
I did a little bit of other cleaning, including getting a shelf emptied of non-book stuff and putting the books Lynn gave me out.
Then at 7 I got a call from my psychiatrist, my regular monthly checkup. He had to ask some questions so it took longer than usual but afterward I Skyped the FWiB.
We talked til 8 when it was time for my D&D game. We had a battle with a sort of demon thing.
After the game I calledmashfanficchick and we discussed plans for tomorrow for watching 911. I will go into Flushing in time for my vaccinations tomorrow, and then putter around for some time until I take the LIRR from Flushing to her father's, where she is staying for the time being. I'll most likely take an Uber back after.
So that's going to be fun, and I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway, after the phone call I fed the pets and had dinner, and now I'm here.
