Good news on Oldest Brother

silver_chipmunkStayed up very late with mashfanficchick and then had insomnia so I've had very little sleep.
We got up around 12 eventually, and packed up the air mattress that I am going to have Middle Brother sleep on. Then we forgot the sheets I was going to borrow. Oh well.
Anyway. ze had several phone calls to make before we could leave so we didn't get out of the apartment until quite late. We ate at a local deli, and just as we were getting ready to leave, ze got a return call, very important, about zer mother's situation, so we had to go to a quiet spot so ze could take it.
While we were doing that, I got a call from the hospital. Oldest Brother is off the ventilator, and the level of pressors is way down. He may be out of ICU by tomorrow. So that's marvelous news.
mashfanficchick's phone call was of necessity quite long, so by the time that was done, and we got Starbucks, it was too late for me to go with zer to see zer mother in the rehab. I traveled with zer on the Q64 bus, stayed on til the end, and transferred to the Q65 which goes right to the hospital.
Oldest Brother is off the fentanyl so he was at least semi conscious and aware. Still has a ways to go though, but he was better than before. They are doing various breathing therapies with him.
While I was there I called Middle Brother's group home to make sure they knew I'm supposed to be meeting him tomorrow at Hicksville. They did and that's taken care of. I texted the Kid while I was there too and heard back from her.
After I stayed about 45 minutes I took an Uber home, and got here in time to Skype the FWiB before my Al-anon meeting. The meeting was small but good. I also put in a small Shipt order.
After that I waited for my Shipt order, puttered online, cleaned the litter box, and had a little something to eat before I started here. And I'll be going early to bed as I have to get up tomorrow to get Middle Brother.
