Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, actually it wasn't the best Thanksgiving... but things could have been a whole lot worse, so I'll give thanks for that.
Got up at a bit after 8 and put the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on TV for Middle Brother. He seemed to enjoy watching it as I did various things... making breakfast for us both, coffee for me, taking a shower and dressing.
I called the hospital and confirmed the Oldest Brother was out of ICU and in a regular room, so we could all visit him together.
I finally got in touch with the Kid and we agreed that Middle Brother and I would go to the diner after the parade ended and then go to the hospital to see Oldest Brother and she and her boyfriend would join us there.
So after we saw Santa Claus at the end of the parade, I got an Uber and Middle Brother and I went to the diner. I got the turkey dinner, ate about half, and packed up the rest to bring home. Middle Brother had his favorite meal... a cheeseburger and fries. And chocolate mousse cake for dessert.
And then we Ubered to the hospital and saw Oldest Brother. And waited for the Kid and her boyfriend. And waited. And waited. She was baking pumpkin pies and had absolutely no idea when they would be done.
Finally Middle Brother and I went out to the Carvel near the hospital and I got him ice cream. Then we sat in a small park while he ate it, and then went to Dunkin' Donuts and I had coffee and he had a chocolate donut. And then the Kid was on her way finally.
Of course by the time they got there they could only stay a few minutes, as they were going to the boyfriend's family (I was invited, I am happy to say, but had to be with Middle and Oldest Brothers so I couldn't) but she gave us one of the pumpkin pies, a whole pie, which Middle Brother and I Ubered home with.
I gave us both large slices, and then Middle Brother and I embarked on the trip to take him to his group home. On the bus I had an extremely unpleasant encounter with a horrible woman, which soured the whole trip. But aside from that, things went pretty well. The train trip to Hicksville was fast, the person who came to pick Middle Brother up got there swiftly, and I got a train home almost immediately after they left.
I got home fairly fast, and got Facebook messages from Cousin Janet who hadn't known Oldest Brother was in ICU. So I messaged her and that was nice. Also heard from
mashfanficchick. There was a possibility that we would go Black Friday shopping with RK, but that will probably not happen, sadly. Still we shall see.
I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice time for about an hour, and then I caught up on my internet reading til pet feeding time.
And now it's almost time for bed, and that's all of Thanksgiving.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Oldest Brother out of ICU.
3. Middle Brother had a mostly good time.
4. Family.
5. The Kid gave me a pumpkin pie.
6. The Neptune Diner and their Thanksgiving turkey dinner.
