Burial and sitting shiva

silver_chipmunkGot up at 7:00 after about 4 1/2 hours sleep. Josh picked me up, then RK. He brought breakfast for us.
We went to the cemetery in Staten Island and waited there for the burial. It was the Hebrew Free Burial Association so it wasn't fancy, but it was meaningful. I cried.
We drove back to Great Neck tomashfanficchick's father's apartment and got ready for shiva.
Some people connected to zer father came, and Dani and the family, and Liz G and Robyn. It was actually a pretty good, though slightly melancholy, time. I called Middle Brother and told him about the death, he was OK with it, but understood. I also talked to the Kid about something for tomorrow.
Joshua drove me and RK and Robyn and Liz home. RK is taking me tomorrow to the funeral.
I fed the pets and Skyped the FWiB.
Now bed.
