Running errands

silver_chipmunkI got up at 11, showered, and had cold brew coffee. mashfanficchick got up, and we went out and ran errands.
We walked down Austin Street and went eventually ended up ta Bath and Bodyworks, where I got some body lotion and a wallflower.
Then we ate at a Japanese crepe place. I had the smoked salmon crepe which was delicious, and a Thai iced tea to drink. We split a strawberry Nutella one for dessert.
Then we went to Target by bus, and did some shopping there.mashfanficchick got me some vanilla lavender coffee pods which I shall try when I run out of the coffee I have It sounds interesting.
WE went to the Starbucks in the Target before we left., and then we took a very crowded bus back.
On the bus I spotted someone in a Bard sweatshirt. I asked him if he was an alum, and he was and we got talking. WE got off at the same stop, and it turned out he was applying to NYPL for a branch manager position, andmashfanficchick suggested we go to Starbucks if we wanted to talk.
So we did and he brought us coffee.mashfanficchick ran to zer place to get some stuff to work on while we talked,. I found out he was applying to the same branch the FWiB used to work at. So I asked the FWiB to talk to him, which he did.
So that was an amazing series of coincidences, and I think there's might be one more. I looked him up on Facebook and friended him. And it looks possibly like he may be a Ship-of-fools person, unless it's a coincidence of names. I got his email address, I shall email him and find out.
Anyway, after he had to leave,mashfanficchick and I decided not to go to zer mother's house to work because it was too cold. ASo we went back to zer place and hung out.
I called Middle Brother. Nothing new, he's fine.
We had lasagna for dinner with salad, and watched an episode of Hi Surf Rescue, since we finished Dr. Odyssey. It's interesting, beautiful scenery, interesting characters. We'll see how it goes.
Then I Skyped the FWiB on my phone for about half an hour, and then took an Uber home.
And here I am.

Date: 2025-02-25 12:18 am (UTC)Vanilla lavender coffee sounds intriguing. I'll be interested in hearing about it once you try it. I don't think I've ever heard of lavender in coffee although I know it's in teas.
