Did things
Sep. 8th, 2025 10:19 pmI got up around 11:00 and had breakfast and coffee. Then I put in a Shipt order.
I puttered online, and even did a little writing, while I waited for the order to come in. When it finally got here I discovered that my Ritz crackers had been unavailable. Which is a bummer as I eat a lot of cheese and crackers, and guacamole and crackers.
I took a shower and dressed, and then I took my recycling out, first the plastic and then the cardboard, waking around the block after each one.
Then cleaned the cat pan, and took the litter out and walked around the block. The Kid called just as I was getting in, some not-so-great news, but nothing to bad. I came back in and we talked for a bit. Then I rested a bit and had a seltzer. Then I got my purse and went out in search of Ritz crackers, or a reasonable substitute.
First I tried the discount store, but they don't have much food any more, and didn't have any crackers. So then I tried the Asian store on the corner. I found crackers but not what I was looking for.
Finally I tried the little deli in the middle of the block. And to my vast surprise they had Ritz crackers. Overpriced, but there. So I got my Ritz.
Came home and for various unimportant reasons I decided to try logging in to the Social Security site and see my account. Easier said than done. Turns out I had an account but I couldn't remember the password. It is easy to change your password, but then you have to verify your identity by sending them pictures of your ID, and of you to compare. And I couldn't get it to work. So I'm locked out for five hours (I think that's up now though) and I'll have to try again.
By then it was almost 7:00 and time to Team the FWiB. It went fine, no technical difficulties this time. We talked for an hour and a half.
Then we got off and I had dinner, and then went to the bedroom to play solitaire. And then it was pet feeding time so I did that, and now I'm doing this.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid's bad news wasn't too serious.
3. Nice weather.
4. The computer seems to be working OK.
5. Got my Ritz crackers.
6. The SHarecon Countdown calendar starts tomorrow.
