The Kid's birthday

silver_chipmunkI texted her last night after 12:15 (the time she was born) and she answered so that was nice.
Then I could not sleep. I was brooding over the failure of the FWiB to email and say good night, in part, and over the ending to Good Omens 3, in part, and just unable to sleep in general.
When it got to be after 4:00 and I was still firmly awake I got up and had one of the Yasso frozen yogurt pops. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but I did fall asleep after that.
I got up at 8:00, had breakfast, and went back to bed.
Got woken up at 10:00 by my therapist, and had a session which was good. Then I went back to bed.
I ended up sleeping til 2:00 and feeling pretty good. I got up and had coffee. Then I puttered online til 4:00 when I showered and dressed and left at 5:00 for my Al-anon meeting in the Bronx.
Got a 25 bus pretty fast, so I was hoping that I'd get in fast. No such luck, waited a LONG time for a 50, and it was super crowded. The driver said there was another behind him but I'd already paid so I didn't wait for it, and I don't believe him anyway.
I got into the Bronx, had my pizza, and called the Kid to wish her Happy Birthday. She didn't answer, but she called me while I was waiting for the meeting to start. She was on her way somewhere, she told me but I couldn't make out what she said so I don't know. I sang Happy Birthday.
The meeting was small but good. We got a new person.mashfanficchick texted me and asked me to call after I got home and talked to the FWiB.
Afterward M drove me to the bus stop and the MTA really messed up. The MTA app said that the 50 wasn't coming til 9:35. So I waited in the car, but started getting nervous that despite what they said, a bus might come earlier. So I got out of the car... and there was a bus there! At 9:10! I just made it!
Anyway I took that to the 25 in Queens. Just missed one, saw it go by before we made the turn onto Linden. So I decided that it would be too long a waut so I was just starting to Uber when a 61 came. They have the same stop as the 25 so I took that.
I rang for the stop... and the driver went right by it. So I figured he'd stop at the next one, Northern and Main, and I'd Uber from there. Nope, he zipped past that too.
So I got up and asked him when he was going to stop, as he'd just gone past a stop. He didn't say anything, just pulled over right there and let me off. But it was well past the stop by that point, so I Ubered from there.
Got home just before 10:00. Teamed the FWiB. We talked for an hour.mashfanficchick texted again, said ze was going to bed and we'd talk tomorrow.
I fed the pets and started here. Need to get to bed because I have to get up early for the anniversary of my Saturday Al-anon meeting tomorrow.
