My birthday!

So to make a very long story short, the situation with my key fob is resolved. It apparently was a problem with the door, rather than my fob. The door was apparently not working for a lot of fobs. At any rate, my fob is working now. This took two calls to the management company and several to the super.

So Oldest Brother came and kept me company til the fob situation was settled. Then we called mashfanficchick and arranged to pick her and her mother up. And we did.

The first thing we all did was get lunch at Panera. And then we went to Barnes and Noble and I spent out the gift cards I had, and a bit of money beyond that (plus mashfanficchick got some of my stuff as a birthday present) and had a lovely time.

We stayed there several hours, and then dropped mashfanficchick off at her class, and went with her mother to a nearby Dunkin' Donuts and had stuff. I got a strawberry milkshake from the Baskin and Robbins part. Then I called the FWiB and we talked.

Then we picked up mashfanficchick and went out to dinner at Uno. And there the bad thing of the day happened... I broke a tooth. Yup, a quarter of a molar is just gone. So tomorrow I have to call the dentist first thing and try to get an appointment.

On the brighter side I got texts from The Kid, and Dennise and from J, and lots of greetings on facebook, which was nice.

Now waiting for Oldest Brother to call saying he got in safely, then time for bed.

Went to the dentist this morning

Called and they said it was OK for me to come right in, so I showered and dressed and walked over. What he did was put a filling in. But he doesn't seem sanguine about it lasting; he says if it breaks I'll have to have a crown put on the tooth.

Went to work with my face all numb, and worked. The laptop computer program got cancelled for reasons too long to go into, but aside from that it was a satisfactory day.

After work I spoke briefly to J, she couldn't make it to the meeting. Then I called the FWiB, an we talked on my way there as usual. A nice surprise, and old time member came back, bringing a new person. And another new person came.

Came home and that's about all.

Oldest Brother spoke to The Kid tonight and she says she'll call me tonight, we'll see if she does.
