Kavanaugh got in and I just feel drained and dismal. This is as bad as when Trump was elected.

Work was ok, nothing much to say about it. I started a regimen of yogurt for lunch rather than buying lunch out. Cheaper and lower calorie.

After work I called the FWiB, and when I got home we Skyped. After that I ate my leftovers from Wednesday, and read a bit of Adulthood Rites.

Then, when I was talking to Oldest Brother on my nightly call that I usually don't bother to mention, mashfanficchick called and asked if I wanted to go out to eat as she was very depressed by the news of the day. So I said yes, and a bit after I was done talking to Oldest Brother and had fed the cats and turtle, they picked me up and we went out.

We ended at P F Chang's. It's pretty good. I got an appetizer of shrimp dumplings. Then we went next door to the Cheesecake Factory, and had dessert.

And then we came back here.

My story continues to get hits and good comments. This is a good thing and takes some of the sting off the drained and dismal feeling.

Watched Dr Who

I don't usually watch TV, and I don't know if I'll keep it up, but I watched the first episode of the new Who.

The rest of my day was pretty mundane. I slept really late, then puttered on my computer while I breakfasted. My stats are growing very nicely. This story is doing very well.

The FWiB e-mailed me a link and I watched some Steven Universe, which he is quite a fan of. It's interesting, I may stick with that, too.

I Skyped the FWiB, then he had to go to dinner, so we got off and I took my laundry down to the laundromat. Came back and he was done with dinner, so we Skyped again but only for a brief time because he has a bad cough which meant he couldn't really talk.

Did some stuff around the house, ate dinner, and then tuned in for Dr. Who. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I have seen some older who, starting with the Tom Baker episodes when I was a kid, and the Kid had me watching New Who from the beginning on netflix I think it was, but we petered out. Still I'm not a totally beginner.

Now waiting for Oldest Brother to call me for our regularly scheduled nightly chat.

A relaxing day as long as I ignored what's going on in the world.
