Cats: The Movie

I started out the day by showering and getting dressed, then getting breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. Then I came home and briefly Skyped the FWiB. He had to get off though because he had forgotten he was down for a Scrabble game.

After he got off I left to go to the Kid's place. Got a new monthly metrocard on the way.

At her place I helped out with some chores, and kept her company.

Then we went to Cats. I am... puzzled by it. There's so much right about it and yet it is so very wrong. My facebook comment was that it's something, but I don't know what.

Anyway, after that we met up with mashfanficchick and her mother at Applebee's, and had dinner. Very nice.

They drove us home, and here I am. Still shaking my head about just what the heck I saw tonight.

Edited to add: I have in fact seen the original Broadway musical Cats. This was... different. And not in a good way.

Strange day

I got to work what I thought was early, only to discover that I was supposed to be in at 9:00 so I was late. Then I got asked to stay til 6 anyway, so I don't know where things lie.

Had a class at 10, which was why I got in early, and I suppose that's why I was scheduled at 9, too. The class turned out to be the same developmentally disable, Spanish speaking class I had before. All the same kids except one. So I had really nothing to do.

Then at 3:30 I did the gaming program, which only got 7 kids. Oh well.

After work I Skyped the FWiB, and we talked for my trip back home, and again from here. The book I ordered for Oldest Brother still hasn't arrived. Now the package tracker says tomorrow. Supposedly it's at the Post Office now. I do hope it doesn't get stolen when it's delivered.

The Kid called me and we talked for a bit.
