Happy Fourth of July!

I slept very late indeed. and then got up and breakfasted (brunched) and coffeed, then showered and dressed. I packed a bag and took the 20 bus to College Point where I bought a Godfather hero and a bottle of Arizona green tea, and walked to the big park. I set up my folding chair and read and drank iced tea for an hour, then ate my sandwich and read for another couple of hours, taking time out for a Mr; Softee vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles. I also called Oldest Brother.

Then finally I called Middle Brother at 7:00 (I called early because he was going to watch fireworks). He's doing fine. And after that I packed up, threw out my garbage, and took the 25 bus home.

The park was lovely, cool and sunny, not very crowded. It was very pleasant and the sandwich was, as all Supremes sandwiches are, delicious.

After I got home I Skyped the FWiB. I am happy to say the connection was much better than yesterday, when we could hardly keep going.

Got off at 9:00 and got my TV set up, the first time I've actually used the Fios. Watched the Macy's fireworks show, which as always was spectacular. And as always I have issues with the broadcast (they take to much time away from the fireworks to show the crowd or musicians) but it was actually better than usual I think. So that was good.

Then I called Oldest Brother again, he had been watching the fireworks too. And then i fed the pets, and here I am, going to go read after I finish this. I finished Witness for the Dead last night, and have started For the Wolf.
