Phone calls
Jul. 15th, 2021 10:38 pmWork was OK, busy but OK. I did the BBFT committee discussion and the YA Programming Chat. Then at lunch time I got a call from the oncologists office that I had to call the specialty pharmacy that handles the chemo drugs and make sure they were sending them by tomorrow. She gave me a list of the four drugs.
Now, ignoring the question of why this is the patient's responsibility to do, when i called they only had records of three of the drugs. They bounced me from person to person and finally said I had to call the doctor's office and have them phone in the prescription so it could be shipped by tomorrow.
So I did that. I also got a call from the place I'm having the scans tomorrow, they couldn't find the referrals from the oncologist. But then they did so that should be OK.
Also not a phone call but needing to be dealt with, I got an e-mail from the person responsible for Middle Brother's life plan, needing my approval on it. So I did that too.
During this time I was trying to get in contact with Oldest Brother but couldn't get through. So I didn't get to talk to him until I got home, when I called him and finally got through.
So that was all a lot of work and upsetting, but I Skyped the FWiB when I got home and that was very nice.
Had dinner, and then called Middle Brother. He's doing fine.
Went and played solitaire till it was time to call Oldest Brother again. Then I called the Kid but she didn't pick up.
Nothing to eat or drink after midnight tonight, because of the CAT scan tomorrow. Gotta' drink the radioactive barium. Getting picked up at 9:30.

mashfanficchick and we talked a bit.
