Slept later than I should have, but was ready on time anyway.
mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up and we went over to the place.
I had the chemo. It was not as bad as I feared. Nowhere near as bad, though of course it's early days yet.
mashfanficchick got me a sandwich and I ate during the infusion.
The Kid came at 3:15 when I was just ending up and the three of us talked to the doctor together. None of the three of us remembered to ask, will I be immuno-compromised during this so I have to ask tomorrow. My schedule is chemo today, an injection to bolster my white count tomorrow, next week a blood test, then the week after repeat, for a total of four cycles. Then we switch to a different regimen.
After the meeting with the doctor, I went to the Kid's and stayed for the afternoon and evening. I did my Al-anon meeting from there on my phone and it was fairly successful.
At 9:00
mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up and we went to dinner at Uncle Bill's Diner. Then they brought me home and I fed the pets.
Soon I will take my anti-nausea pills and go to bed. I hope the steroids that they give to counteract the effects of the chemo let me sleep. I feel tired so I am hopeful.
Just Skyped the FWiB briefly, that was nice.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2.
mashfanfiucchick and zer mother.
3. The Kid.
4. My meetings and the people there.
5. Advances in chemotherapy.
6. Bed soon.
