Chemo the second
Aug. 3rd, 2021 10:44 pmI had to get my breakfast out because I was out of milk, so I got a bacon, egg, and cheese from the bagel shop, and a large coffee. Then I waited for the Kid to pick me up.
We went to a bodega first and bought me food to eat during the chemo, and then I went to the doctor's and she went and had work done on her car.
The chemo went unremarkably, no bad effects yet. No problems. I emailed the FWiB and read facebook for most of the time. It takes about three hours.
The kid picked me up and took me to the pharmacy where I picked up one of my prescriptions and some milk. Then she brought me home and I made phone calls and Skyped the FWiB. The Kid called while we were Skyping to see how I was.
After we Skyped, I got on the Zoom site and set up my Al-anon meetings through November. Then I puttered around until the meeting time. It was small but good. Step meeting.
After the meeting I had some cheese and crackers for dinner and called Oldest Brother for the third time. Then I called the Kid but she was on another call and didn't pick up. She called me back later. She is buying me a fitbit. I really do need to take control of my health, a fitbit will help I guess.
That's about all.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. My meetings and the people at them.
4. My chemo is going well.
5. It didn't rain today.
6. Air conditioning.
