Cleaned the Turtle Tank

Finally. And the crazy thing is, that after ordering two more siphons, and trying to get the third one to work, I figured out what was wrong with the original one, and used that. I took it apart and cleaned out a bit of crud that had been messing up the squeeze bulb and after that it worked fine.

So anyway, I changed the water and cleaned the filter. The irony is, that due to disturbing the silt on the bottom which I couldn't get out, the water actually looks worse now. but I have the filter going now and I hope that between that and the silt settling it'll be better soon. And I'm going to try and clean it again this coming weekend.

Aside from that, I did a Shipt order, I got a cheap woman's electric razor and am thinking about shaving the remainder of my hair. I will probably wait till my chemo is done though, so it can all grow in together.

I got a phone call from J. She's hopefully going to come back to one of our meetings. It's been so long since we talked she didn't know about my cancer or Oldest Brother's stroke. It was nice catching up with her.

I Skyped the FWiB of course. He is still worried about Hurricane Ida.

Called Oldest Brother three times as usual. Called Middle Brother; he still has his ear infection, they are giving him ear drops. And i called the Kid. She is getting ready to skein her yarn and then post it on her etsy.

I am greatly sorrowed by the death of Ed Asner. I loved the Lou Grant Show back in the day, and I loved Ed Asner as a person.

Back to work tomorrow.
