Working Saturday

Bah, humbug.

When I got up this morning I discovered that during the night the cat (I hope it was the cat!) had knocked down the the curtain rod and curtains on one of the living room windows. And the spring from the tension curtain rid was missing. So I knew I had to get another curtain roid after work,

Work was unremarkable except for one thing; I actually got two kids to my program this afternoon! So that was good.

So after work I came home and headed to the larger of the two discount stores near me. They didn't have tension curtain rods. The other one did, but not the kind I wanted. Still, there was no help for it, I got one.

Called Oldest Brother, and then put up the curtains and the rod. It looks a bit weird, doesn't match the other window at all, but the curtains are up and that's the main thing.

The Kid called right after I finished and we talked a bit. She is dying yarn today, and showed me some pictures. She is going to sell it on her etsy shop, The Crafty Clotheshorse, though she doesn't have the yarn up yet.

Then I Skyped the FWiB. He's doing well, but worried about family in Louisiana due to the hurricane.

By the time we got off it was time for dinner. After dinner I went to the bedroom and called Oldest Brother again. Then I called the kid again and we talked for a nice time.

And then it was time for feeding the pets, and here I am.
