Baack from Vermont

The trip was lovely. and a really good time was had.

Friday I had no trouble making it to the train on time, in fact, I was early. The train was a few minutes late, but only a few. The trip was scenic until it got dark.

The kid picked me up at the station and it was snowing at the higher altitudes of Ludlow. That night we had dinner and lots of wine, played hearts, and made a jigsaw puzzle. I shared a room with the Kid and Brianne.

The next day we had a nice pancake breakfast, and then sadly Amy and the boys left, and it was just John, Denise, Brianne, Steve and the Kid and I. We went to a pottery store, some outlet shops, and a great bookstore, and a yarn shop. That night we watched part of the new thing on the Beatles. The Kid worked on another jigsaw but didn't get it finished.

Today we got up and had coffee, and hung for awhile, but then we had to leave. We went to a Vermont deli, and got food there, meeting up with John and Denise and Brianne.

The traffic on the way back was awful. Sadly the Kid and I had a fight, but we made it up eventually.
Her knee was hurting so she drove me to Queensboro Plaza and I took the 7 train from there. Got home and all was well. Called Oldest Brother and told him I was home, also texted the Kid. Called Middle Brother and then Skyped the FWiB.

Had cheese and crackers for dinner, called mashfanficchick and discussed getting together tomorrow, and then started writing here.

All in all a great Thanksgiving weekend.
