I am sorry to say things did not work out today as they should have.

The morning was fine, I got up and put on the Macy's parade for Middle Brother, made us breakfast (Cheerios) and then showered and dressed.

I called the nursing home to make sure Oldest brother was ready, he was. so at 11:30 we Ubered over. Sure enough, Oldest Brother was ready, so we took him downstairs... and he was in so much pain from I think the Foley catheter that eventually we had to cancel taking him to the restaurant and bring him back upstairs.

We Ubered to the restaurant and met up with the Kid and her boyfriend, then we ate and that was nice. They left early to get to Westchester to his parents, and Middle Brother and I finished and then Ubered back to my place. I called Oldest Brother, he was back in bed and felt fine. I think the catheter was interacting with his clothing somehow, rubbing or jammed or something.

Anyway at 3:30 I tool Middle Brother back to meet his group home person at Hicksville. We took the 44 bus to Jamaica and the LIRR from there. All worked out.

Came back the same way and Skyped the FWiB when I got here.

While we were talking, [personal profile] mashfanficchick called. They were almost back, did I want to go out to dinner with them? Of course.

So after I got off with the FWiB, they picked me up and we went to Applebee's, and had a good time. I texted the Kid too, and all is well.

I called Oldest Brother again before we went iuot, and yes, he is fine now.

So it was a mixed bag of a day, some good, some bad. But I am thankful for what I have.

Tomorrow I go to Vermont for the weekend. Don't think I'll be able to post, so, see you all Sunday night.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. My brothers and the Kid.

3. Tomorrow's trip to Vermont.

4. My friends.

5. Uber.

6. My cat.
