Oldest Brother in the hospital

This morning they called from the nursing home that he was Covid positive but not bad off. Then about an hour later they called and said he had shortness of breath and lowered oxygen levels and they were sending him to the hospital.

Over the course of the day I heard from the hospital. He's in ICU, on a ventilator. But they found another problem aside from the Covid, and that is that his gall bladder is enlarged. inflamed, and thickened and probably infected. He's a bad candidate for surgery so they have just inserted a line and drained it.

I don't know what to do about visiting him. I'm afraid of carrying Covid to Middle Brother, and from him to his group home. And of carrying it to mashfanficchick and zer mother as well.

With that in mind I decided not to cancel today's plans and to go to Union Square with mashfanficchick as we planned. So I worked till 4:30, doing the button making program from 3:30 to 4:30 like my boss insisted I carry on with. There was no one there. At all.

But anyway at 4:30 I left and went in to Manhattan and met up with zer. We did the Holiday Market, eating at the gluten free arepas booth. Then we shopped the market, and finally got hot chocolate and went to the Strand, and then after they closed, to Barnes and Noble.

Then zer mother picked us up and we went to Applebee's for a late dinner.

I've been calling the Kid throughout the day to keep her updated.
