Birthday for Middle Brother

Changed my clock last night before bed, and forgot to turn on the alarm, so although I was awake at the proper time I didn't get out of bed for an hour, I was therefore a little bit late for when mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me up to go out to Middle Brother's group home. Luckily we made good time despite traffic and got there precisely on time. Middle Brother gets worried and upset if you're late.

So we picked him up and went to Applebees. We had to wait to be seated but it was OK. We got seated and ate lunch, which was very delicious as usual. Then Middle Brother and I ordered dessert, there was no gluten free dessert for mashfanficchick, and zer mother was full. We each got the chocolate lava cake with ice cream, I forget what they officially call the order, but that's what it is. We put a candle on his cake, didn't light it cause they don't allow it, but we pretended, and sang happy birthday.

After he finished he opened presents. I am happy to say he liked everything. I called the kid and had her say happy birthday to him too.

Then we took him home, and dropped him off, and went to the Outback restaurant out there where mashfanficchick had left zer coat some weeks ago. Ze told them that ze would pick it up the next time ze was out there, and they said they'd hold it, which they did so that was fine. Ze also got dessert there to go since they do have a gluten free dessert.

Then we came back into Queens and they brought me to the nursing home where I visited Oldest Brother. Bad news, he is not in the same room, he's in one with four people. Good news, even that is better than the room he was in in the old place. He is much better than he was in the hospital, was much more aware and awake, and we were able to communicate, though he isn't talking. But he made hand gestures, thumbs up for instance, and he waved good-bye when I left.

Then we went to Target for some shopping, and the Starbucks in the Target, where I got one of their new lavender drinks, which was delicious. Then we went to Shop Rite for more shopping, and finally they brought me home.

I Skyped the FWiB, and we had a nice talk, breaking for a few minutes at 8:30 when Middle Brother ahd told me to call despite having seen him today. He likes his routine to stay the same. So I called, and found that he had eaten and enjoyed the summer sausage that he got from mashfanficchick, and that his favorite book was the one on Old Westbury Gardens, that I had been afraid he wouldn't like at all. So I'm happy about that.

Then I went to the bedroom and played solitaire until I fed the pets.

And now it's time for bed.
