Horrible rainy Saturday
Mar. 23rd, 2024 10:13 pmI was about 10 minutes late again, dammit. Aside from that the day went OK, very quiet because of the weather. I did a button making program, but the only person I got was our page, because I asked her to make a button so I would have at least one for the stats.
While I was on my break, someone apparently made a false 911 call and had EMTs sent to the library. They showed up and L, who was in charge, was surprised. They looked around, and left. Nasty thing for someone to do.
Weird thing happened when I was on my way home. I have two transit apps on my phone, Moovit, which is a commercial site, with ads, and the MTA's own app, and I sort of hop between them. My bus was supposed to come at 5:33, though there was no live confirmation of that. Then, all of a sudden, just maybe five or so minutes before it was supposed to arrive, the MTA app said there were no scheduled 50 busses in my direction. I thought I was going to have to take an Uber again!
Then when I was trying to make up my mind what to do, the 50 bus showed up! I was quite happy. The notice vanished from the app, so I have no idea what was up.
Anyway, I got home, and all was well. I called the Kid, and spoke to her briefly. She's going on a trip for a week and I'm going to drop in to her place to check on her pets. Then I made dinner and ate. And
mashfanficchick called, ze has Mandy visiting this weekend, and we are going to have lunch tomorrow.
Finally, I Skyped the FWiB, We had a nice long time, and when we finished I went to the bedroom and scrolled Facebook till it was pet feeding time.
And now I'm here, wondering if I want a cup of decaf or not.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My umbrella.
3. Friends.
4. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be better.
5. My birthday is coming!
6. Bed soon.
