I did a thing

mashfanficchick to see about getting together with zer and Mandy for lunch. Ze said zhe'd call a bit later so I settled down to do stuff.
And what I did was register and pay for my 40th college reunion. Bard does a whole weekend of reunion, at the same time as graduation, so there was a lot to pay for: two formal dinners, two brunches, two nights in a dorm room, rental of academic garb for the graduation procession, and of course the train fare up and back. It was very expensive, but it's pretty much once in a lifetime.
Anyway, after I did that I showered and dressed, having previously heard frommashfanficchick that they were picking me up around 1:30.
I played solitaire till it was time for them to get me, and then I went out and waited. It was very nice seeing Mandy again, I like her.
We discussed what to get for lunch, and eventually decided on hot pot. Which is a Chinese meal basically, where you have a pot of boiling broth on the table and there are lots and lots of different things you can put in it and cook. Delicious.
After that we went back to zer place and hung out for an hour or so until they had to leave to go see Little Shop of horrors and I left to come home by mass transit. We took the E train together and I got off for the 7, then to Flushing, got the 44 bus and got home.
I Skyped the FWiB, which was fun, as always, and then went and lay down till pet feeding time. I called Middle Brother during the call, as usual on Sunday.
I texted with the Kid who is away in South Carolina with her boyfriend, and wants me to go bring in a package that was delivered after she left, and check on her pets.
Anyway, that was my day, I'm a little nervous about having spent so much on my reunion, but tomorrow I have my taxes done and I am hoping for the usual refund I get which is pretty good.
