More updates on Oldest Brother
Jul. 26th, 2024 10:53 pmGot woken up this morning out of a solid sleep by the hospital calling. Oldest Brother was admitted. I had suspected he had been, so it wasn't a surprise. I answered their questions and went back to sleep.
I woke up at 11, went to the bathroom, an went back to bed just as the phone rang again. It was my therapist. So I asked her to give me 10 minutes, and clipped my hair back, put on my glasses and went to the living room for my session. There were technical difficulties and we ended up using the phone rather than video.
After that I stayed up, had breakfast and coffee, and puttered on line. I notified everyone the news about Oldest Brother, the Kid, John, Laurie, and![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

I went to the bedroom and lay down and dozed for an hour, then I got up, puttered online some more, then at 3 I went and showered and dressed.
At 4 I took an Uber to the hospital. I though by that time there would have been time for Oldest Brother to be settled in a room. Nope, he was still in a room in emergency, waiting for a bed to open up in a ward.
He was asleep when I got there but he woke up and we talked. I stayed for 45 minutes, got to talk to one of the nurses before I left. They think he possibly has upper GI bleeding. That's all I know so far.
At 5:15 I left, and got the 65 bus from in front of the hospital, to Flushing where I got the 50 and went in to the Bronx for my meeting. Had pizza for dinner first.
The meeting was good. Afterwards L drove me to the bus stop and I came home and Skyped the FWiB.
Then I fed the pets, and here I am.
Gratitude List:

6. Cooler weather.
