I got up at 9:30 and had breakfast and coffee, and got ready for my Al-anon meeting in Bowne Park. I took an Uber over, and I almost forgot my chair again but I remembered in time.
The meeting was very good, and afterward I got a ride to the diner, where I had my usual bagel with lox and cream cheese, and an iced coffee. Then I Ubered home.
At home I called the hospital to get information on Oldest Brother. I finally got through to a doctor who told me that they were going to do a CT scan this weekend, and that he is no longer vomiting. That's all.
Then I went to the Starsky and Hutch episode watch and chat. They were late in starting the episode, Flamingo was addressing the members when I logged in, and I got to see the entire episode of Silence, which is very cute because it has kittens.
Then we chatted for awhile, but I left at 5:30 and packed a backpack and went into Manhattan to Times Square to go to the anti-Project 2025 rally at 7.
I made it to the Times Square stop on the 7 train well before 7, but it took me awhile to find the rally. I did make it before 7 though. There were counter-demonstrators there of course, but only a handful. I ignored them, though I wanted to spit at them. Magats.
Anyway, the rally was very inspiring, but also very frightening because of just what Project 2025 would do to this country if it goes through. Please all my US readers, vote against Trump! The alternative is a nightmare.
Anyway, the rally lasted til about 8:30 or so, and I made my way home, the 7 train to the 20 bus and home. Then I fed the pets, and Skyped the FWiB.
Tomorrow it's back into Manhattan to meet Chris and his friend Saille. Then I'll go to the hospital to see Oldest Brother on my way home afterward.
