Trouble with my Shipt order
Aug. 25th, 2024 10:31 pmBut I did finally get the delivery. I put down on the order that I wanted the delivery between 10 and 11. The shopper started shopping early and attempted delivery at around 9:20 when I was barely awake. They called, which showed up on my phone as "scam likely" so I didn't answer it, and then they didn't leave a message. They buzzed, I was slow to answer because of getting out of bed, and rather than wait a reasonable time, they left.
I got in touch with them and they came back, and I did get my order, but it was annoying. Anyway, after I finally got it I had breakfast and coffee, and then did my bit of cleaning for the day, which was in the bathroom. I got a lot of recycling (mostly empty toilet paper rolls) and trash, and ended up taking out two bags. They were light so I took both at once and walked around the block.
I also changed the light bulb in the kitchen light. That was scary as the ceiling is about 8 feet so requires a ladder. Having no one to help me was nerve-wracking, but there were no problems and I got it done.
By the time everything was done it was almost time for the Starsky and Hutch Creative Work session at 1:30, so I puttered online til it was time and then went to that.
We had a very fun time, and I got a little writing done. Still not sure how the story is going to go but I'm getting there. We ended at a little after 6. At a little after 7 I Skyped the FWiB.
We talked til 8:30 and then I called Middle Brother, who is fine, but nothing to report. The FWiB and I talked a little longer and then we got off and I had dinner.
After dinner I went to the bedroom and played solitaire on my phone. The Kid texted, she feels much better and we are having dinner tomorrow at 7.
Then it was pet feeding time and I fed the pets and started here.
Last night I finished Rocannon's World. It was, of course, excellent. Tonight I will start the next one in the book, the title of which I do not remember.
