Foot X-ray
Sep. 17th, 2024 10:15 pmI got up at 10:30 today and had breakfast and coffee. I did my reading on the net, and at 12ish I went and took a shower and dressed.
At 1:20 I got my Uber, and went to the radiology lab. Not much to say about the procedure, it was the same as always. I took the bus home, and was here by 3.
I took out the recycling, and walked around the block. Saw something interesting, a man with a charcoal grill with burning coals pushing it down the sidewalk. I know where he left a parking lot and got to the sidewalk, but not where he ended up going. It was an odd sight.
Anyway, I came home and did my cleaning for the day, which was bagging up and arranging for the donation of a lot of old clothes, some of Oldest Brother, which were here because John and Denise took them out of his car when they bought it and had them laundered. And there were several bags of stuff given to me by Oldest Brother, given to him by the wife of one of his bosses. Very odd.
There was some of the latter that was worth my keeping, but mostly I just bagged everything up. For some reason it was incredibly tiring and hot, I was drenched in sweat when I finished. I looked up the organization that is picking up donations around here and arranged a date (Tuesday) and labeled the bags for it. Come Tuesday morning it will look a good bit better in here.
I texted with the Kid for quite awhile. She is fine, and we are going to make plans to go to the Bronx Botanical Gardens.
After that I lay down for awhile. At 7:00 I Skyped the FWiB. Then at 8:00 I had my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. It was quite good, both M and S were there and several other people.
After the meeting I had dinner, then went and lay down and played solitaire again.
I also during the course of the day emailed with Lynn about the Rochester trip. Waiting to hear from Chris about when and where he'll pick me up Saturday.
