DEXA scan

Last night I was up for awhile in the middle of the night looking up various things on my phone, and as a result was very tired when my alarm went off this morning. I pushed the snooze button for an hour, and got up at 11, with the result that after I finished breakfast and coffee it was 12, and my appointment was at 1. I rushed my shower and dressing as fast as I could, and ended up getting there about 20 minutes early, so that's good. They didn't take me early though, and I had to wait.

But I have now had my long overdue DEXA bone density scan. I was supposed to get it back in the spring.

Anyway, after the scan I walked to the subway and went to mashfanficchick's part of Queens. Ze was at a doctor's appointment zerself, so I went to Starbucks and got myself a pumpkin spice latte and two of their egg bites for a snack or lunch. Then I read in the Starbucks (I brought The Late Scholar along with me, that's the last Joan Paton Walsh Lord Peter Wimsey continuation) until I felt the need for a bathroom. That Starbucks does not have a public one so I went to mashfanficchick's place and let myself in, and waited there for zer to return.

Ze had stopped at Chopt and bought food there, and that's what we had for dinner. Delicious. Then we watched Lonestar, a very satisfying episode.

Afterward we had fruit salad for dessert, and ze made a phone call to decide on plans for tomorrow.

I took an Uber home at 10:30ish, and got here around 11, and was just Skyping the FWiB when the Kid texted. She wanted to touch base and send me pics of her and her boyfriend at Ren faire. Beautiful!

After I Skyped the FWiB, I called the Kid, and we talked a bit.

Then I started here, and it's time for bed now.

Running errands

Got up at 11ish. Had breakfast and coffee, called mashfanficchick. Showered, dressed, and went over to the Starbucks by zer, where I had a pumpkin spice foam cold brew. We met there, and spent the day doing errand things.

Eventually we had a meal, late lunch/early dinner, at Jersey Mike's. We ate in a park near there, and then did more errandy things.

I left to go home, and made it by 6:30, then at 7 I Skyped the FWiB.

We talked til 8, then I had my Al-annon meeting by Zoom. It was small but good.

After that I went to the bedroom and played solitaire, and scrolled Facebook and Bluesky until mashfanficchick gave me a call. Then it was pet feeding time, and I fed the pets and started here.
