Good news on Oldest Brother

I got up today around 11, ate breakfast and had coffee, showered, dressed, and went to see Oldest Brother. I wore my tee shirt that says Books Make Me Happy you not so much. When I took off my jacket, he saw my tee shirt, and started to laugh. So he was able to read it, and understand it and appreciate the joke, so that made me happy.

I stayed almost an hour. Just when I was thinking it was almost time to go, someone came to give him a bath. She said she would give us more time, but she came back pretty quickly, and I figured I should go.

I came home, and took out the garbage and walked around the block. Then I called the Kid, just to fill her in on Oldest Brother, and we talked a bit.

Then, just after I got off the phone, the nursing home called me, and gave me the good news. They took out the Foley catheter, and are going to see if he can urinate without it. I'll know tomorrow. On top of that, they want to get the tube in his gall bladder out, so they are having a surgeon look him over and the idea is to remove his gall bladder, as he has gall stones, which is what caused the problem in the first place. So that's all good news.

I called the Kid back and told her. She was pleased.

Then I did a little bit of cleaning... I used Windex and paper towel to remove some mess on the floor that I should have removed before.

After that I went and lay down and played solitaire, and scrolled Facebook and Bluesky on my phone.

At 7 I Skyped the FWiB, and at 8 there was my D&D game. That went til a bit before 10, so I had dinner, and called mashfanficchick who had texted, to make plans for tomorrow for 911.

Then I started here, and here I am.

And the Mets won tonight, advancing them to the next roun. Yay!!!
