To the oncologist
Nov. 12th, 2024 10:10 pmGot up in time to have breakfast, shower and dress by 11. The Kid picked me up at 11:30 as planned, and we had a nice visit while she took me to the oncologist for my checkup and port flush.
The good news is that my bloods were good, and my bone scan, though showing a little thinning, was nothing to worry about. She told me to schedule my CT scans as soon as possible, and hopefully they'll show all clear and I'll be able to have the port removed.
So The Kid brought me home and I scheduled the CT scans for this Monday at 12:20. I'll Uber over and either come back here by bus, or, depending on the time, go over to
mashfanficchick's for Lonestar.
While I was coming home I got a phone call from Chris. He's having his cataract surgery tomorrow, and they won't let him go home afterward alone. So he asked if I could go with him. It means getting up at 6, because his doctor is in Westchester, but I said yes. So I'm going to go to bed immediately after I finish here.
I puttered around not really doing much of anything until 7 when I Skyped the FWiB. We talked til 8 when I had my Al-anon meeting by Zoom. It was small, just me and S and M, but good.
I got two of the Manly Wade Wellman Silver John novels today, the first, and the third. I will start reading the first one tomorrow.
That's about all.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Good report from the oncologist.
3. The Kid.
4. My books came.
5. My meetings and the people at them.
6. Friends.
