Small Business Saturday

I didn't see Oldest Brother today. I needed a break. I did get a phone call from the hospital about him, and it wasn't great news, but not terrible either He may have some internal bleeding, and they are checking that out. If he does, they may need to fix it surgically. Also, his PEG is clogged, so it's going to be replaced Monday, til then he's being fed through a nasal gastro tube. But his infection is much better, and his condition improving.

I got up a bit late, ate breakfast and a piece of pumpkin pie, had coffee, showered and dressed, and then went to my Al-anon meeting.

The meeting was the largest one yet in the new place, 15. So we're doing good.

I went to the diner afterward and we had a good time. Then I Ubered over to mashfanficchick's, and we went out for Small Business Saturday.

Didn't actually go many places. We Ubered to the comic book store ze uses which was having a SBS sale, and I got a small present for Middle Brother and something for mashfanficchick. We also went to a sports collectables store, but I doidn't get anything there.

Then we went to the North Forest Park branch of the Queens Public Library, where ze used the computer to print out something and I browsed. Then we went to the Indian restaurant where we got food with RK the other week, and got food for dinner.

We made our way to the rehab where zer mother is, and we visited for several hours, longer than we really intended to. But finally we Ubered back to zer place, and ate our Indian food. Then we just talked for several hours.

Didn't get to Skype the FWiB. but of course we emailed.

I Ubered home, and now I'm going to go to bed/

Oldest Brother much improved

I slept late, had breakfast and pumpkin pie and coffee, then showered and dressed and went to the hospital to see Oldest Brother.

He was able to actually say "hi" when he saw me, and respond to things I said by nodding or shaking hhis head. I stayed for an hour, and when I left he said "by". So mentally he is much improved. I texted the Kid and she was happy to hear.

I came home by bus and joined in the Starsky and Hutch creative work session. I wrote a couple of lines inthe the Thanksgiving thing I started, and that's all, but I had a nice time chatting.

I took down the Thanksgiving decorations and put them away, and although I didn't put up any more Christmas decorations yet, I did put the Merry Christmas banner up on my door. mashfanficchick called while I was having a cup of decaf and we made plans for tomorrow and Tuesday.

Then at 7 I Skyped the FWiB. We talked for almost two hours, which was very nice. At 8:30 I took a break and called Middle Brother. He is looking forward to Christmas already.

After that I heated up the leftovers from my Thanksgiving meal, and had them for dinner.

Then I went to the bedroom and played solitaire until pet feeding time. I fed the pets and started here.
