Oldest Brother back in the nursing home
Dec. 8th, 2024 10:11 pmI woke up at 10, got out of bed around 11. Had breakfast and coffee, then showered and dressed and went to see Oldest Brother in the nursing home.
He is about the same as the last time I saw him in the hospital, but they have him back on oxygen through the nasal cannula. Also they still have the padded mitten thing on his left hand. I stayed an hour and showed him some pictures which I think he enjoyed. I spoke to the charge nurse before I left, and determined that the oxygen was just for support, that the mitten thing would be off soon, and we went over his medications so I could be sure he's not sedated.
The Kid texted me that she is going to host Christmas Eve, but that she's still figuring things out. So that's good.
When I got back home I went to the Starsky and Hutch Creative Work session, didn't get much writing done, but we had a nice time chatting.

mashfanficchick called, and we are planning on going to the Bryant Park Holiday Shops on Tuesday.
At 7 the session ended and I Skyped the FWiB. At 8:30 I took a break and called Middle Brother. He is very much looking forward to Christmas.
After we finished Skyping I had dinner, and went to the bedroom to play solitaire until pet feeding time.
Last night I finally got more reading done in the Silver John novel I'm working on. I don't like this one as much as the previous one, but I will continue.
Tomorrow I intend to try and get my second shingles shot as well as the pneumonia and RSV ones.
