Got my vaccinations today
Dec. 9th, 2024 10:44 pmGot up around 10:30, had breakfast and coffee, and puttered around for a bit.
Then I took my shower and dressed, and did some online Christmas shopping. I got all the calendars that I usually get for people. Also got my penguin calendar and unicorn calendar. I did not get Oldest Brother one this year, sadly I don't think there's much point.
Anyway, after getting the calendars ordered I headed out to get my vaccinations, which I finally scheduled last night after I wrote here. I got the pneumonia, the RSV, and of course my second shingles shot.
While I was waiting for the bus, the Kid called me. She had an idea to put me, her boyfriend, and herself on the same plan and save money. Over the course of some calls and texting we arrived at a decision, we're going on her Google Fi account, we get the same stuff plus a little more, for about $20 less than I'm paying now. So that's good. I am waiting to receive the Sim card to insert in my phone before I can activate the plan.
Anyway I got to Duane Reade and waited online at the pharmacy, didn't realize I could have checked in on my phone, but no matter. The shots themselves were not very painful. I got the shingles in my right arm and the other two in my left.
I came home after and took the rest of the day off. Just puttered around online and played some solitaire. I put in a Shipt order. The shopper substituted one of my items. I wanted a gallon of 2% milk. What I got was considerably less than a gallon, and it's 2% all right but it's also lactose free. I hate to think what it must have cost. But the rest of my order was fine.
Finally at 7 I Skyped the FWiB and we talked about an hour and a half, which was very nice. Then I had dinner, and went to the bedroom to play solitaire and putter on my phone. I called![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
mashfanficchick to make plans for tomorrow. We are going to meet at 11 in Bryant Park to do the Holiday Shopping Village.
The FWiB sent me a link to a Youtube vid of the 30 most historically accurate movies. It was fascinating, and I ended up being late feeding the pets because of watching it.
Now the pets are fed and I'm doing this.
