Say a prayer for the dead.
On a more cheerful note, Oldest Brother picked us up with Middle Brother and we went, by a very convoluted route, to the Queens Botanical Gardens. We had a very nice time walking around, and spent quite some time there. We saw interesting wildlife, including a hawk being mobbed, and a lizard, and a pair of goldfinches. And I taught Oldest Brother how to text.
Then we went to Five Guys for burgers. Which were delicious indeed. And then we came home.
Since then I've been puttering online and reading. Bed soon.
Gratitude List:
1. Those who fought and died for their country.
2. Beautiful day and beautiful weather.
3. Good books.
4. The gardens.
5. Good food.
6. My new phone.
