I learned this morning that the landlord died on Wednesday. I have no idea what's going to happen with the house now, if his family will take it over or if they'll sell it, and if they sell it if the new owners will keep on the tenants. So there's a lot of anxiety there. And I feel bad about the landlord too though I didn't know him very well. He was a nice guy.

But aside from that it was a pretty good day. I picked up Bjorn's cat food and then went to my meeting in the morning. That was good. Then I went to Rite Aid and got my scrips filled, and came home. Spent some time mooching around and plotzing on line, then called mashfanficchick and found she is feeling better. So in the evening I went over there and hung out for some hours. Had a good time.

Bed now.

scary indeed. Don't yu have any tenant protection or a lease? For all the faults that it can ensue, here in France a tenant has a lease that can not be broken by selling. the new owner can only throw them out before the end of the lease if s/he can prove that the house is for a family memeber or personal use because s/he has no other home. AND before selling the owner must give the sitting tenant the option of buying. Hope that things work out OK for you; nthing more worrying than no knowing if you will have to move

No, I don't have a lease, I'm a month-to-month renter. I have certain protections from the city, but I'm not sure how much or what. Will have to look into it if it comes to that.
