I got up this morning somewhat after 10:00 and had breakfast and coffee, showered and dressed, and went to mashfanficchick's place.

From there we went to the house and worked. While I was working they called from the hospital. Oldest Brother is not getting out today or tomorrow, they want to gove him an MRI to investigate his pancreas more, and also they may do a procedure to drain infected fluid from his abdomen, and they think he has an infection in his sacrum.

So tomorrow he gets the MRI, and we'll see.

Anyway, we worked in the house til 6:00, about four and a half hours. Then we went back to mashfanficchick's place, and at 7;00 I Skyped the FWiB til 8:00 when we watched our TV shows, 911 and then Dr. Odyssey.

I called Middle Brother at 8:30, he is fine, nothing much new.

After that ze went back to the house and I helped zer carry stuff over. Then I Ubered home. The driver didn't know where the hell he was going, and I had to direct him. Weird, he didn't have the GPS thing that they normally have.But I got here and all was well/ I fed the pets and started here.

The FWiB wanted to Skype again for a bit so we just did.

And now it's time for bed.

Last night I could not sleep no matter what. Finally at 5:30is I decided there was no point in trying to get up at 10:00 like I had been planning so I turned off the alarm. I fell asleep somewhat after that, and slept until 12ish. Still not a full night's sleep.

Anyway, I got up and had breakfast and coffee, and showered and dressed and headed over to the hospital to see Oldest Brother. He has been transferred to a regular room. He's not on the nasal cannula any more and he looks pretty good. I visited for almost an hour, left when he started seeming sleepy.

Then I came home and put in a Shipt order for stuff I'll need to set up the apartment for when I'm going to Ohio. It was a long time coming.

I Skyped the FWiB and we talked until it was time for my meeting at 8:00. The meeting was just me and M. But it was good.

After that the Shipt order finally came, there was some mixup with the delivery but I got it.

I had the basil fried rice with shrimp that we got as BOGO on Sunday for dinner. It was delicious.

Then I went to the bedroom and played solitaire until pet feeding time.

I am soooo tired from being up so late last night.

We slept late this morning, and then had breakfast. mashfanficchick still didn't feel good so we watched some episodes of Will Trent before going over to the house to work.

We put in several hours, and then zer friend Robyn came over and helped. We worked two more hours, and I called Middle Brother, who is fine. Then it was 9:30 and we broke for the night.

mashfanficchick and I came back here and ordered dinner, Thai. They had BOGO deals so we'll have Thai for dinner tomorrow too.

Then we watched more Will Trent. The Kid texted me which was nice.

Got up at 8;30 and had breakfast and coffee, showered and dressed. Then mashfanficchick's father picked me up and we went to U-Haul and got the things mashfanficchick had ordered.

Then ze called and said ze felt really awful and was just going to stay in bed for the day, and we should drop the stuff off at zer place, and then zer father should just bring me home.

So that's what we did, and I got back home around 11:30.


And then instead of doing anything useful, I lay down and played solitaire until I fell asleep, and then, with the exception of going to the bathroom a couple of times, I stayed asleep until 4-something.

I finally got up, ate a little something, and puttered on the computer until 5:15 when I left for my meeting in the Bronx.

I went for pizza first, as usual, and found M there. So we sat together and talked a bit.

The meeting was the first one where we have to go to the room upstairs rather than our usual room, which will now happen once monthly. It's not a bad room, but inconvenient carrying our meeting stuff up from the downstairs.

After the meeting K drove me to the bus stop. I had a pleasant interaction with a young black man who asked me if I knew when the 5 bus was coming. I was able to tell him.

I came home and Skyped the FWiB. We talked about 45 minutes, then I fed the pets and started here.

I don't know why I slept so much today. It was really a waste of time when I could have done several different things I need time to do. I am annoyed at myself.

I got a phone call at 1:00 am from Oldest Brother's nursing home that they were sending him to the hospital via the ER.

I got a call from the hospital at 9:30, saying he had been admitted, was in ICU, and had pancreatitis and a UTI. But no pneumonia, his breathing is good, no intubation, just room air.

Well that put paid to our potential plans to send me to Ohio on Monday in exchange for Dani's husband John to come work on the house. I called mashfanficchick and told zer the news. But I decided not to go to the hospital today, it is my birthday and I did have plans, and besides, the first day there's usually a lot going on that it's probably better to not interfere with.

So I met mashfanficchick at The Cheesecake Factory and had pasta carbonara, which was delicious. And then we had cheesecake for dessert. We took our time over the meal, and it was pretty late when we finished. We went back to zer place, and then to zer mother's where we did some work.

Then I came home by mass transit, first stopping at Starbucks for my free birthday drink. I got home in time to Skype the FWiB. So we talked til 8:00 and the went to my D&D game.

The game went very well, we got a lot of treasure after battling Faceless Stalkers and a lizard thing that our witch turned into a mouse.

After the game I fed the pets and talked to mashfanficchick. That's pretty much my birthday.

I got up at 10:00 this morning when the alarm went off, and had breakfast and coffee. I showered and dressed, and killed time until 12:30 when I left for the tax preparer in College Point.

As always getting my taxes done was simple and painless. As I suspected, I don't get as nice a refund as when I was working, but it's still pretty good.

Then I went to Pink Nails and gt my face waxed, as has been my tradition when I get my taxes done. I am happy with the results.

Then I went back home, and put my tax stuff away and had something to eat. Then I packed and headed over to mashfanficchick's.

We hung out for awhile, and then ordered dinner, burrito bowls. Very delicious.

I Skyped the FWiB on my phone and that was nice.

Then we watched Rescue: Hi-surf, and then some episodes of Will Trent.

There may be some changes in our plans for the coming month, not definite yet. Stay tuned.

Although my birthday isn't until Wednesday, the Kid said she had to do my birthday this weekend, and how about Akiyama, which isn't open Sunday. So I agreed and we planned for today after my meeting.

SO today I got up at 9:00 when the alarm went off, and had breakfast and coffee, then showered and washed my hair, even though it takes longer, because it needed it. And I didn't want the Kid to see it so dirty.

Even with the extra time I had because of not hitting the snooze button, I ended up missing a bus. Saw it turning the corner onto Northern Blvd as I was trying to cross. But fortunately the next one came pretty quickly.

I got out at my stop, and was just about to cross to 35th when I heard someone call my name. It was someone from the meeting who was also late, and who gave me a ride the blocks that I would have had to have walked to the church. So that saved some time, and we were both just a little late, made it in time to join in the reading of the steps and traditions.

The meeting was good, and afterward I sat on a bench outside and waited for the Kid and her boyfriend. They were pretty much on time, and we went to Akiyama.

The meal was delicious as it always is, I had a sushi deluxe which comes with salad and miso soup, and plum wine, with green tea ice cream for dessert.

Then we made a very brief stop at Target for them to buy masks, and then we went over to mashfanficchick's mother's house. We met mashfanficchick there, and we put in several hours of work before they took me home.

Annoyingly enough, although I brought my necklace that the Kid made that the peacock pendant fell off of, I forgot to give it to her to fix. Grumble.

One good thing though. I told the Kid about the thing in the small memo notebook that I have that my father wrote about her, and she wants it now. When I came back home and looked for it, I couldn't find it. I knew it had been on top of the books in my little bookcase and I looked there. Couldn't ind it. I looked everywhere in my desk, and it wasn't there. I was very upset.

Then it was 7:00 and I Skyped the FWiB. I told him about the missing notebook, and he said I would find it v=because this apartment has limited space for things to go missing.

When we finished, i went back to looking for it. Then I noticed that one of the books in the book case was only partly pushed in. So I pulled out a bunch of the books, and there it was. It had slipped between two of them. So that's very good.

Then I went and lay down and puttered on my phone until almost pet feeding time, when I decided to have some food. So I did, and when I finished it was pet feeding time, so I fed the pets.

And now here I am.

Woke up this morning, turned off the alarm, and went back to sleep until 1:00. That was a bummer because I had planned on an earlier start to the day. There was a text from the nursing home, they have two cases of Covid.

I had breakfast and coffee. I called the nursing home and found out that the cases weren't on Oldest Brother's floor, so I decided I could go see him if I kept masked. So I showered and dressed and packed for staying over at mashfanficchick's place tonight.

I went to the nursing home and visited for about 45 minutes. He's still congested but the doctor had made his rounds that morning so they should know about it.

Then I came to mashfanficchick's place and we hung out for awhile, then went down to the store for soda.

We came back and had a snack and then it was time for our TV shows, 911 and Dr. Odyssey. I called Middle Brother at 8:30, he's fine and had a fun time on St. Patrick's Day.

Then we had dinner, and I Skyped the FWiB.

Then we watched several episodes of Will Trent, and now it's time for bed.

I managed to wake up a little after 10:00 even though I forgot to set an alarm. I got out of bed around 11:00.

Then I had breakfast, had to use the half-and-half for my Cheerios again, because the last little bit of milk had turned. Then I used the last of the half-and-half in my coffee. So I decided to do a Shipt order.

So I put in the Shipt order, and waited for it to be delivered, and put it away.

Then I got busy, and bagged up three bags of recycling. I put on some clothes, and took it out, and walked around the block. Then I took out a stack of boxes, and walked around the block again. Tomorrow I'll take out the last of the boxes, and maybe some more recycling.

Anyway, after that I had something to eat, and I went and played solitaire and fiddled on my phone in the bedroom for a few hours.

At 6:30 I started playing Bookworm on the computer, but I didn't get very far before it was time to Skype the FWiB at 7:00.

So we Skyped until it was time for my Al-anon meeting at 8:00. The meeting was very good.

I made dinner after that, and then went back to the bedroom and played on my phone some more. Then it was pet feeding time so I fed the pets, and now I'm doing this.

Heard from mashfanficchick that ze is working tomorrow so we're not getting together. Also heard from the Kid, all well there.

We got up this morning at 10:00 and got ready to go. First we went to Dunkin' Donuts and I got coffee. Then we were going to go to the sushi place we ate at before but for some reason they weren't open despite being scheduled to be. So we took the bus in the direction we were going in anyway and ate at a Japanese restaurant along the way. They had a lunch special which was really nice.

Then we went to Atlas Park and went to the blood donation there. They had some issues getting my donation, but it worked out. We get Islanders tickets for this.

Then we walked around Atlas Park a little. We went to 5 Below, and Home Goods. At Home Goods I picked up some stuff that I'll give the Kid for her birthday.

Then we came back to mashfanficchick's place and just hung out until Robyn got to the house, and then we went and met her there. We walked around and dealt with some stuff, and then said good bye to her and came back to mashfanficchick's place.

We ordered dinner, burrito bowls, and I Skyped the FWiB. I ate while we talked, and then at 8:30 I got off for a bit and called Middle Brother. He is looking forward to St. Patrick's Day, and he went to Dollar General today which made him happy.

After that I got back on with the FWiB for awhile. After we got done, mashfanficchick and I decided to watch another TV series. We decided on Will Trent. We watched two episodes, and decided that we like it quite a bit.

By then it was late and time to start here, so here I am.
