Another vet trip for the turtle

Work was pretty good, I did the gaming program and had a fair number of kids. I have started playing chess with one of them, Aeris. Yes, that's really her name.

After work I called the FWiB and we talked on my way home. Then when I got here I got the turtle ready for transport and waited for mashfanficchick and her mother, and we took her to the vet. We had to wait a long time because there was an emergency before us, but when we did get seen it was fairly quick. She got another shot. I think she is getting better.

After the vet, we took the turtle hme and made a trip to Petco, making it just before closing. I ot a combo pack of light bulbs, a basking light, and a UVB bulb. since I only have one fixture at the moment I currently have the UVB bulb installed.

After Petco we went to Uno for dinner. I have pizza, which was good.

When I came home my key fob wouldn't work again. I tried calling the super but the only number I thought I had was unavailable. There was no one around to ask for help so I did what I hated even thinking about doing, I started ringing bells. And got someone scary-angry at me, but at least I got in.

I got another number for the super and called that, got no answer, left a message. I'll try all three numbers I have tomorrow.

No meeting tonight

We cancelled because no one but me could make it. Which is depressing, but gave me the chance to take my laundry down to the laundromat.

The day in general was fairly satisfactory. I overslept but made it to work on time anyway, thank goodness. My keyfob worked when I tried it in the morning, and has continued to work. I did the laptop computer program with the teens, and that went very well.

After work I called the FWiB, and we talked til I got to Flushing, when I got the call from M that she would have to miss the meeting. Since she was the only other person who was going to be there, we cancelled. And i kept talking to the FWiB while I went to Duane Reed to buy some cat food.

Then I came home and we Skyped for a short while. And then after we got off, I took some laundry down to the laundromat.

This coming week is when I'm going to Ohio to see the FWiB and also my friend David M. So I won't be able to take the turtle to the vet. Today I texted RK and asked him f he'd be willin to take her and he said yes. So hopefully she'll get at least one shot while I'm gone.

The class I had scheduled for tomorrow mornin, that was causing me to be 10-7 rather than 11-7 cancelled, so I can go back tobeing 11-7 tomorrow, and can sleep a little later. so, while I would have liked to do the class, it's nice to get the sleep too.

I think that's everything.
