Second day of the heat wave

I got up and breakfasted. Puttered on the computer and, after he finished lunch, I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice long conversation, a bit over an hour.

Then I went into the bedroom in the air conditioning and read. I finished The Orphans of Raspay last night after I posted in here, so I have gone back to reading the last Amelia Peabody book. I think it's called The Painted Queen. I am enjoying it, though it's slightly melancholy because it's the last one.

Anyway, I alternated reading with checking what was up on the computer.

Then when the sun was down I pulled on some clothes and went down and picked up my laundry from the laundromat. It was HOT out!

Came home and called the Kid. Alas, she is not going to go up to Nancy's engagement party so I won't be able to get a ride home from her. More expenses.

And that's about the sum of the day.
