Christmas shopping
Dec. 10th, 2024 11:21 pmI got up at 8:30 and had breakfast and coffee, the showered and dressed. Made it out a little later than I planned, but no big deal. I got to Bryant Park before 11.

mashfanficchick got held up by various things so I had to wait awhile for zer, but it was no big deal. I sat in a chair and watched the people, pigeons, and dogs, all of which were interesting.
After ze got there, around 12ish, we went and got food. We got arepas and empanadas. I got a portobello mushroom empanada, which was delicious. Then we set about shopping. I got several things for the Kid, one thing, an artwork, for her boyfriend, and something for myself. We finished the Bryant Park shopping at around 2:30.
Then we took the B train to Columbus Circle and did the shopping there. I didn't get anything, but a chocolate bar for myself, and a cup of hot chocolate.
We finished Columbus Circle and crossed the street to the big indoor mall thing there, I forget what it's called, but we went to Williams and Sonoma and spent a long time there. I got something for the Kid and her boyfriend together. We went to the Paper Place and looked at stuff there but didn't get anything.
Finally we went to Whole Foods, wheremashfanficchick got food for zer mother and zerself, and we left to return home. It was about 6:30 by then.
We took the B train to Bryant Park again, and split up there, ze taking the F and me taking the 7.
I got to Flushing about 7:30 and got lucky to get a 50 bus immediately so I got home with about 15 minutes to spare before my Al-anon meeting by Zoom.
The meeting was very good, one of the best we've had in awhile.
After the meeting I Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice time for about an hour and a half. Then I got off and fed the pets.
After that I got online and got caught up in what I missed online today, then I went to the LEGO website and ordered a Christmas present for the Kid's boyfriend.
And then finally I started here.
